Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. Puzzles, trivia, chess against the computer and the games on one phone all work without one. An account adds leaderboards, groups, friends and online chess.

How do I keep my account if I change phones?

Open your profile and tap email to connect an email. On the new phone, tap i have an account on the nickname screen and sign in with that email. Without an email, the account stays on the old phone.

How do I add a friend?

Profile → friends → get an invite key, then send the link over WhatsApp, SMS or Viber. When your friend opens it (or types the key under "add a friend"), you'll get a request to accept. Keys work once, for 7 days.

Can I change my nickname?

No, nicknames are for keeps, so friends always recognise you. You can change your avatar any time.

An online chess game stopped moving

Check both phones are online, then leave the game and reopen it from chess → play online → your games. If your opponent's clock runs out, you win the game.

I think a puzzle's answer is wrong

Probability is often surprising, and that's the point of the game! Tap the answer's demo to watch it play out over 1,000 trials. If you still think it's wrong, email us the puzzle's title. We check every report.

How do I report a player?

Email us their nickname and what happened. We act on every report.

How do I delete my account?

Profile → delete my account. See deleting your account for details.
